About Me
I love yarn. I love to pick it out, design with it,
knit it, wear it.
My daughter and I.
I grew up in Seattle and spent most of my working life in banking. Along the way, I rediscovered the knitting my grandmother taught me. Like many of you, I started with baby things for my 2 children. I took classes, knit and ripped, crocheted and ripped, collected magazines and books and patterns and yarn. Lots and lots of yarn.
With the help and encouragement of friends, especially Fontelle Jones at Great Yarns! in Everett Washington, I began teaching and designing over 25 years ago. I designed my first sweater when I couldn’t find just what I wanted to make that would fit me with the yarn I had. Sound familiar? Since then, I’ve designed for Great Yarns!, Aslan Trends, Pagewood Farms, Fiesta Yarns, Koigu and currently Trendsetter Yarns.
My husband and I moved to the Coachella Valley in California in 2008 and love being here in the sunshine.
Nothing makes me happier than to empower a student to take off on their own, become more creative and begin to love our craft like I do.
My other passion is walking the many pilgrimage routes of the Camino de Santiago in Spain and France. So far, I’ve walked 9 of the routes, with plans to walk more!
